project-16

These XBOX 360 controllers were made for a Marine EOD Tech who lost his right arm below the elbow. The silver controller was the second version made which was a wireless system. For both, he requested that the d-pad and ABXY buttons be swapped and mounted in more comfortable orientations. On the first iteration, the right trigger and bumper pair were moved under the left side of the controller. On the new silver controller, the right trigger and bumper pair were moved to a foot pedal system. Using his right nub, he is able to operate the right stick and new d-pad. With his left hand he controls the left joystick and newly located ABXY group. Extensions were added to the right d-pad and joystick so his nub could operate them better. He controls the right trigger pair with his new foot pedal. While unusual, he is able to play this configuration very well.
