Project 5

A single, above the right elbow amputee soldier requested an XBOX 360 controller he could play when seated in a particular way. A small lap plate was used to mount the controller parts. All of of the right side controls were re-mapped to large, elevated buttons. The right trigger and bumper controls were moved to foot pedals. Preliminary layout concepts were discussed including the location of controls, orientation of the ABXY buttons, mounting height and joystick style. The custom button/joystick housing was made in a 3d printer. The user is now able to play his favorite XBOX games comfortably.
